PPC SLP Programmes
The Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act No. 28 of 2002 (MPRDA) establishes the requirement for organisations regulated by the Act to develop Social and Labour plans (SLP) in order to operate.
AT PPC, our SLP’s are set up to:
- Promote economic growth and mineral and petroleum resources development;
- Promote employment and advance the social and economic welfare of all South Africans;
- Contribute towards the socioeconomic development of the areas in which we operate as well as the areas from which the majority of the workforce is sourced; and
- Utilize and expand the existing skills base for the empowerment of historically disadvantaged South Africans and to serve the community to experience a better quality of life.
